Barbecue areas
In the city forest are two large covered barbecue areas (Grillhütten), maintained by the City of Heidelberg. They serve as a venue for relaxation and leisure timeactivities and can also be used for private events and environmental education activities. They are very popular, particularly during the summer season, so booking well in advance is advisable. Use our online booking site (in German) to check availability and place your booking request.
For the duration of use, it is recommended to hire mobile toilets.
